Today the PMR’s President received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA to the RM James Pettit. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Dmitry Palamarchuk. The dialogue was initiated by the American side.

​President Yevgeny Shevchuk held a meeting with Acting Foreign Minister of the PMR. Vitaly Ignatiev informed the Head of State about the work being done by the Foreign Ministry on the most topical issues of the negotiation process with the Republic of Moldova.

President Yevgeny Shevchuk received Acting Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and Director of the state unitary enterprise “Pridnestrovian Railway” Oleg Kulbikov. The meeting focused on issues related to the change in the scheme of movement of goods imported to Pridnestrovie by railway.

President signed a Decree appointing Vitaly Ignatiev Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Pursuant to the signed document Vitaly Ignatiev is also entrusted with functions of Special Representative of the President for the negotiation process, interaction with diplomatic missions and international organizations.

In this regard, I would like to ask a question. Apparently, Ukraine and Moldova do everything that the life of our country was more difficult. What can we oppose this with? Thank you!

We have today a national holiday – the Constitution of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. I congratulate all the citizens of Pridnestrovie, all the friends of Pridnestrovie who supported us and support in the difficult moments.

The President received Acting Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev. The working meeting was also attended by Director of the state unitary enterprise “Pridnestrovian Railway” Oleg Kulbikov.

Head of state was informed that the scheme of movement of goods imported into Pridnestrovie by railway will be changed from January 1, 2016 by the decision of the Ukrainian and Moldovan sides.

President Yevgeny Shevchuk received Cord Hinrich Meier-Klodt, who will take office as Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman from January 1, 2016. It should be reminded that over the course of the following year Germany will chair the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. The meeting was also attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Moldova Ulrike Maria Knotz, Acting Foreign Minister of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev.

The head of state held a working meeting with Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry leadership. The central issue of the meeting was the results of consultations with European Union representatives on the development of optimal conditions for Pridnestrovian economic agents’ access to European markets. From 1 January 2016 Pridnestrovian enterprises retain the possibility of free trade with the European Union.

The Head of State held a meeting with the inhabitants of Tiraspol the previous day. During the meeting, a question was raised about the prospects for social and economic situation of pensionners and public sector employees, as well as they were interested in the forecasts for the first quarter of 2016.

The meeting between President of Pridnestrovie Yevgeny Shevchuk and Deputy Prime Minister, Special Representative of the Russian President on Pridnestrovie Dmitry Rogozin took place on November 3 in Moscow. They discussed the situation related to the effects of external pressure on the economy and transport logistics of Pridnestrovie. Particular attention was paid to the adverse external impulses that complicate the social and economic situation of Russian citizens residing in Pridnestrovie and compatriots.

President of Pridnestrovie Yevgeny Shevchuk and Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Gubarev held a meeting in the capital of the Russian Federation. They discussed issues related to the situation in the negotiation process. We remind that the official meetings in the “5+2” format have not been conducted for almost one and a half year.

President Yevgeny Shevchuk had a meeting with founder of the ANO “Eurasian Integration”, deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the RF Alexei Zhuravlev. He arrived for a meeting with the president after inspection of the workflow on sites being built in the framework of the Russian socio-humanitarian project.

The Head of State touched upon the contribution to the tension in the countries neighboured by the republic in his address to Pridnestrovians on air of the Pervy Pridnestrovsky TV Channel.

In particular, the President commented on the accusations of representatives of Ukrainian Parliament that Pridnestrovie allegedly interfered in the internal affairs of Ukraine.

President Yevgeny Shevchuk received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine in the Republic of Moldova Ivan Gnatishin. The Ukrainian diplomat entered upon his duties on September 21, 2015. The meeting took place at the initiative of the Ukrainian side.

President of Pridnestrovie Yevgeny Shevchuk met with a delegation of the European Union led by Head of Unit “Trade aspects of European neighbourhood policy. Trade relations with countries of the CIS and Balkans” Luc Devigne. The meeting was also attended from the European side by Head of EU Delegation in Moldova Pirkka Tapiola, and from the Pridnestrovian side by Acting Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev.

President of Pridnestrovie Yevgeny Shevchuk received a delegation of the Foreign Ministry of the Federal Republic of Germany. During the meeting Director for Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia at the Federal Foreign Office Andreas Peschke, appointed in July this year, was introduced to the Head of State. The delegation also included Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to the Republic of Moldova Ulrike Maria Knotz. Taking part in the meeting from the Pridnestrovian side was Acting Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev.
