A meeting between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev with Acting Head of the British Embassy to Moldova Neil Martin took place in the Foreign Ministry of the PMR.


On July 21, 2015 this year’s first meeting of the expert (working) groups on regulatory and document support of citizens from the Republic of Moldova and Pridnestrovie was held in the office of the OSCE Mission in Moldova.



RD Interview: Matthew Dal Santo, a Danish Research Council post-doctoral fellow at the University of Copenhagen, met Pridnestrovie’s Deputy Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev in Tiraspol, where they discussed the frozen conflict in Pridnestrovie and post-Soviet Russian identity.


The Pridnestrovian President is in the Russian capital on a working visit. In Moscow, Yevgeny Shevchuk met with Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Sergei Naryshkin. Issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed during the meeting.



Deputy Foreign Minister of the PMR Igor Shornikov had a meeting in the MFA of the PMR with Head of the Regional delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Russia, Belarus and Moldova Pascal Cuttat.

The meeting discussed the developing situation around the republic, as well as exchanged views on prospects for the International Red Cross’s work in Pridnestrovie.

The sides expressed hope for further constructive cooperation in areas of common interest.

During the meeting they discussed issues related with the increasing risks to the economy of Pridnestrovie under regional economic instability and other artificial factors blocking Pridnestrovian economic potential.

Today, the Pridnestrovian State University held a round table discussion on “Pridnestrovie is a sacred territory of Eurasia”. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Igor Shornikov, Director of Moscow Lev Gumilyov Centre Pavel Zarifullin, Pridnestrovian experts-historian, archaeologists and students of the university took part in the meeting.



Head of the Foreign Ministry of Pridnestrovie Nina Shtanski in an interview to the Russkaya Planeta (Russian Planet) told about the historical self-determination, external threats and the conditions for a peaceful settlement


President of the PMR Yevgeny Shevchuk received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Moldova Farit Mukhametshin. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the PMR for International Cooperation - Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski.
