PMR’s MFA is pleased to note, that the results of direct expression of popular will, held in this country at the beginning of 2011, became legal base for the recognition of independence of Southern Sudan.

As it is known, on June 21, 2011, Moscow will host the next round of informal consultations of the participants of the Permanent Consultations on Political Issues in the Framework of the Pridnestrovien Settlement Negotiation Process, more known as a 5+2 format, where the “five” is the founders of the Permanent Consultations… (the conflicting sides, guarantors and co-mediators), and “plus two” – observers from the European Union and the USA.

Media released the statement made by the head of the EUBAM Mission Udo Burkholder which says that reopening of the passenger train Chisinau-Odessa via Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic is “the EU Mission’s success in rendering assistance at the border between Moldova and Ukraine.”
