On the Second Meeting of the PMR President with Rospotrebnadzor Representatives

The delegation of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being has been working in Pridnestrovie for the third day. The familiarization meeting between the President of the PMR and representatives of Rospotrebnadzor took place on May 13. Today, initiated by Vadim Krasnoselsky, another working conversation was arranged at the site of pridnestrovian Presidential Administration The head of Pridnestrovie, welcoming the interlocutors, noted that the current discussion is intended to become more substantive, as Russian experts have already visited many facilities and can give a reasonable assessment of the anti-coronavirus activity carried out in Pridnestrovie. Tatyana Ruzhentsova, Head of the Clinical Research Department of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology, Federal State Budgetary Institution, noted with satisfaction that Pridnestrovian doctors and other services involved in the fight against COVID-19 are doing everything possible to prevent the mass spread of virus. Prevention, protective measures, and the treatment process are organized in the republic, as to her opinion, at a fairly high level. At the same time, one can see an obvious shortage of modern equipment and in some medical facilities there is limited area of medical facilities. It is noted that in Pridnestrovie today only one patient needs a mechanical ventilation device in the coronavirus hospital. This is a good factor indicating the early detection of the virus and the timeliness of medical care for victims.

Head of the sector of the Federal Public Health Institution “Russian Research Anti-Plague Institute “Microbe” Tatyana Krasovskaya, at her turn, noted the medical staff and officials’ attentiveness to the comments and recommendations, which are being implemented as soon as possible.

The Unified Crisis Center, created at the Operations Headquarters at the Ministry of Internal Affairs earned the Russian experts’ positive response. The trust of citizens testifies to its importance and effectiveness, so, during the hotline existence over 58,000 calls were received and processed by specialists from various departments and services.

The interlocutors did not leave out the situation in the State “Bendery Neuropsychiatric Residential Care Facility”, where an outbreak of coronavirus infection was detected. Rospotrebnadzor experts plan to visit this institution today. Russian experts support the decision of the country's leadership to deploy a COVID center directly in the source of infection. During the meeting, they talked about the appropriateness of load redistributing between hospitals in case some of them are overcrowded and others empty. In this regard, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that this practice was taken as a basis in Pridnestrovie, as they are confident that the hospitals’ working in a high loading leads to quality of medical care deterioration. “Our first priority is to protect doctors. The health and life of other citizens depends on their well-being,” the PMR President emphasized.

The meeting participants discussed various aspects of anti-coronavirus activity and other issues related to medicine and respect for the rights of citizens. Tomorrow the delegation of Rospotrebnadzor will visit the north of the republic. Vadim Krasnoselsky, expressing gratitude for the visit and valuable conversation, noted that pridnestrovians will be as well glad seeing Russian guests after the republic and the whole world overcome the pandemic.
